Robber gang arrested

Avissawella Police arrested a four member gang that robbed jewellery from houses and looted filling stations in several parts of the country.

Police also took into custody two highly sophisticated pistols and five live cartridges found on the suspects.

Police state that this gang is responsible for the recent looting of Rs. 159,000 from the Dehiowita petrol filling station.
