NSB opens new branch in Ginigathena

The 222nd Branch of the National Savings Bank was declared open in
the Ginigathena town in the Nuwara Eliya District, by Senior Minister of
International Financial Co-operation and Deputy Minister of Finance Dr.
Sarath Amunugama recently.
The Chairman of the Bank Sunil Sirisena, Working Director Deshabandu
Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena, GM/CEO H.M. Hennayake Bandara, Regional
Manager J.M. Seneviratne and Chairman of the Central Provincial
Passenger Transport Authority W.G. Gunasinghe also attended the event
together with several other invitees.
The spacious NSB branch equipped with modern facilities, is geared to
deliver superior customer service to all its customers. At the opening
of the branch, which was a long-felt need for the Ginigathena town,
deposits were ceremonially handed over to Minister Amunugama and other
invited guests by customers.
Senior Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama said that the National Savings
Bank which received its initiation through the post office system in the
country a few decades ago, had become the one and only bank in the
country with one hundred percent government guarantee and was in the
process of expanding its branch network further, for the benefit of the
people. |
