Equal opportunities for all students _ Minister Dullas

Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma presenting a letter of appointment to a NAITA graduate.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa's fervent wish is to provide a good future for all university students, while providing equal opportunities for students who do not qualify for university entrance, said Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma.

He was speaking at a ceremony to present appointment letters to 44 graduates of the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority(NAITA).

The Minister said the appointments were given not based on political influence, but, purely on qualifications. Therefore, a huge responsibility is cast upon them to fulfill the wishes of society.

He said necessary measures would be taken to provide more jobs to Tamil-speaking students in areas like Kilinochchi.
