Lumbini trounce Kingswood

Lumbini College, Colombo scored an easy nine wicket win over Kingwood College in their rains affected Lemonade Trophy schools under 19 limited over match played at police grounds, Kandy yesterday.

The match was decided on the Parabola System. Kingswoodians batting first made 143 all out. Lumbini Maha Vidyalya chasing this target were 91 for 1 in 18 overs and a minimum of 20 overs had to be bowled for a decision and the revised target was 113 in 25 overs.

Lumbini MV played the two overs required hut did not score the runs required in 20 overs and next went for the 25 over run target and reached it is 21.3 overs.

For Lumbini MV off spinner Jammika Daran took 4 for 20. When the winners batted their openers Janith Lakshan 41 not out (7 fours, 48 balls) and Shean Shashika 48 (6 fours, 1 six 53 balls) put on 88 for the first wicket in 16.1 over.
