Ramindu reaches 1000 runs

The Thurstan College skipper Ramindu Kumarasinghe became the second schoolboy cricketer to notched up 1000 runs for the on going schools cricket season when he scored 33 runs against Dharmapla Vidyalya, Panniptiya in their inter school under 19 cricket match played at Thurstan grounds so for he had scored 1019 runs in fifteen matches.

Batting first Thrustanites declared at 230 for 8 with Thimira Jayasinghe making the top score of 67 runs. While Tharindu Silva too contributed 34 runs. At the end of day one palians were 45 for no loss.

Thurstan – 23/8 dec (Thimira Jayasinghe 67, Tharindu Silva 35, Ramindu Kumarasinghe 35, Ramindu Kumarasinghe 33, Raveesha Lokuge 28, Kavindu Kulasekera 24, Imesha Liynage 2/49, Tarindu Madushanka 2/20.
