Methodist High School, Puwakaramba, Moratuwa is in a strong position
at the end of day one in their inter school Triangular Big Match worked
off at Tyrone Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa.
Winning the toss and decided to bat first Shatrananda were all out
for 114 runs with the skipper Vipula Nishantha scoring an unbeaten 39
runs and Amila Madushanka making 36 runs.
Nishara Fernando was the most successful bowler for Methodist High
School with 4 for 18 and Lahiru Danushka too claimed 3 for 36. When the
stamps were drawn at the end of first day Methodist High School were 173
for 5 with Asiri Vasnatha making an elegant 50 runs while Sahan
Chaturanga and Chairn Madushanka scoring 44 and 29 runs respectively.
