Rs 600 million to develop Medawachchiya

The North Central Provincial Council has allocated Rs 600 million to develop infrastructure and solve problems of the people in relation to lands, housing, healthcare, water supply and rural electrification in the Medawachchiya electorate under the Ranbima Arunalu programme.

The programme commenced covering Kebithigollewa, Padaviya and Medawachchiya on February 25. The needy were offered self employment aid such as sewing machines, water pumps, bicycles, wheel chairs, seed planting machines, three wheelers, two wheel tractors, carpentry appliances and grinding machines.
