Man dies after jumbo attack

A man died when he was attacked by an elephant in Hambantota at around 5 am on Wednesday. Police said the man was attacked at 4th mile post, Ladyakanda while walking along Hambantota- Gannoruwa main road.

The victim who appears to be around 50 years was wearing a T shirt and a sarong. He had a long mustache and a beard. Hambantota police are investigating.
