Lanka wins bid to host 14th Congress of AAES
Sri Lanka has been chosen as the venue for the 14th Congress of the
Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) which would be held in
the early part of next year said Vipula Wanigasekera, General Manager of
Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, an institution of the Ministry of Economic
Development.
He says the full credit goes to Prof Ranil Fernando, President,
College of Surgeons, Sri Lanka and his team for their consistent efforts
and commitment which helped Sri Lanka to outbid India at the 13th
Meeting held in Singapore. This is the first time that this congress was
awarded to Sri Lanka and will be held under the auspices of the College
of Surgeons of Sri Lanka.
Apart from the Tourism value with the high profile delegates, this is
an honour and a unique opportunity to promote Sri Lanka to the entire
community of endocrine surgeons of Asia including countries such as
Australia and New Zealand. |
