SLEDB for Hong Kong Int’l Jewellery Show 2013

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) is making arrangements to participate in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2013 and Hong Kong Houseware Fair 2013 in a bid to explore much needed business opportunities in the Hong Kong market.

This was revealed by SLEDB Acting Chairman Dr. Yousuf Maraikkar at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Seminar held in Colombo on the theme, “ Fast track to expand Sri Lankan businesses to China and international markets via Hong Kong.”The seminar was organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in collaboration with Sri Lanka Export Development Board. Assisting Lankan companies to expand their businesses in international markets, understanding international sourcing trends and reaching out to global buyers through HKTDC’s integrated markets were the three major objectives of this seminar.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is a global level platform not only for Hong Kong businesses, but also for exporters from all the other countries including Sri Lanka. SLEDB implements a range of trade development programmes both globally and internationally on par with Sri Lanka’s exports development drive.

HKTDC organizes 30 international trade fairs in Hong Kong each year. HKTDC with its vast network is an ideal partner for Sri Lankan companies, manufactures, exporters to explore partnership opportunities with China and other international markets.
