Having an eye for a design, or preferably seeing, many designs in
todays discerning business context, seems to come at a cost. But where
talent is creativity, value adding through quality and perseverance
strives within a design company or business in Sri Lanka, it can be
derived that there is but a handful of such companies that exist today.

travel, one thing that always stands out is that inbuilt individuality,
that gives off the much sought oomph!
Of course, comes with the creative, innovative and unbiased
conceptions that today’s youth keep approaching. Design Eye (Pvt) Ltd.
is one such company, situated at Longden Place, Colombo 7.
With its spotlight centering on interior design and manufacturing,
the firm focuses on designing furniture, interior structural design and
consultancy too. The core of the business lies, within the prospect of
coming up with, creations that are eye-catching, oozes eminence and
experimenting on creations that tend to mesmerize potential clients.
Founded in 2007 Design Eye, exemplifies in prominent and creative
designs in furniture, from plush sofas to chic bedroom suits, to
contemporary art.
Comprising of talented young designers and talented craftsmanship,
their expertise is applied with the use of locally sourced wood such as
mahogany, teak and sooriya maara, at their factory, which is located in
Kalutara.
Design Eye comprises of a team of young, enthusiastic, talented and
qualified designers, Dhamithra Pieris, Nuwan Herath and Shasthri Herath
who serves as Technical Heads and Dilanka Mannakkara as Marketing Head.
Samindri Dewaligoda, Amila Jayathilaka and Nirash Gunawardena provides
their insight and assistance to the business.

With a vision focused on originality and exclusivity aimed at
producing novel concepts, the team work with the client to give out an
end product, that is designed with taste and elegance and a budget that
suites the clients purse.
“Initially we were a Design consultancy business that expanded into a
total interior solutions firm, that was engaged in designer furniture
that has a mix of classical, contemporary, modern and sometimes an extra
value added entity to it as well.
We acquire the whole turnkey of custom-made, exclusive furniture,
art-imprinted on wooden furniture, curtaining, luxurious and cozy sofas
and other fixtures for the common household that will in turn give it a
whole new unique blend,” Dilanka Mannakkara, Head of Marketing for
Design Eye stated.
“We undertake projects for high end ventures that comprise hotels,
boutique hotels, luxury resorts, restaurants, apartments, retail
showrooms and office or home related fixtures, that tailors to any
individual’s budget,” Dhamithra Pieris, Designer for Design Eye (Pvt)
Ltd said. One of their recently completed projects among their varied
portfolio of designed entities, is the interior of the Royal College
Union’s Merchandise Showroom and the Naval Club House at Uswetakeiyawa.
“Our company’s target is to penetrate into the international market
of exclusive and luxurious architectural masterpieces, partnered with
individual consultancy as we value our clients wants and needs and
provide an interior that will eventually be a unit that will stand out
with taste, class and style and still give off that sense of comfort.
