SL to export dairy products
For the first time Sri Lanka has achieved self
sufficiency in butter and would be exporting the product to
neighbouring countries and gulf countries. Chairman Palwatte Dairy,
Ariyaseela Wickramanayake said that now they have an excess of
butter due to the high production of local powdered milk.
