Convincing win for B'wela Joes
St. Joseph's College, Bandarawela registered a convincing seven
wicket win over Royal College, Moneragala in their Division III cricket
encounter played at the Moneragogal ground.
Royalist who batted first were dismissed for a paltry 104 with Nalin
Shanaka doing most of the damage capturing 5 wickets giving away only 35
runs. In their turn Joes too were shot out cheaply but gained a lead 24
runs with the top score coming from skipper Buddhika Chamara.
Royalists fared a little bit better to make 150 in their second essay
setting a winning target of 126. Joes reached the target losing only
three wickets to register this easy win.
