First innings win for St. Patrick's

St. Patricks College Jaffna did well to part a first innings win over Kegalu Vidyalaya in their schools under 19 cricket tournament match concluded at the Kegalle Esplenade yesterday spinner Bimshandra Ranaweera was once again in the runs when hit scored an elegant 112 with 12 fours facing 190 balls.

He put on 98 for the first wicket with Indika Gunasekera 31, Samadhi Dassanayake also batted well to score 44. But the rest of the batting flopped to concede a first innings win.

St. Patrick's College 265 all outand 37 for no loss in 8 over 1 K. Rufa 26 not out, R. Richson 10 not out.

Kegalu Vidyalaya 259 all out in 93.1 over (Indika Gunasekera 31, Bimshandra Ranaweera 112, Samadhi Dassanayake 44, Tharindu Somaratne 28, Pubudu Amarasekera 18 not out, D. L. Livington 4 for 34).
