Thomians shot out for 75

A brilliant chanceless unbeaten 100 runs by Sebs Skipper Anushka Perera and two fine bowling spells by Pramesh Fernando (4 for 2) and Nimesh Fernando (4 for 16) enabled St Sebastian College, Moratuwa to gain a first innings win on the first day itself and in a commanding position against formidable S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia worked off at Moratuwa.

Batting first Thomians were shot out for a paltry 75 runs and only Nipuna Gamage gave some resistance to the Sebs bowlers with 29 runs.

Sebs skipper Anushka Perera batted cautionsly and had fourteen fours and faced 121 balls and occupied the crease for 160 minutes. Luke Jayadeva was unlucky to miss a well deserved half ton by two runs and at the end of day one visitors were 6 for no loss.
