SLIM offers customized training packages

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) is now equipped to conduct customized inhouse trainings to suit the corporate needs and also public workshops designed to discuss current marketing topics. "Our philosophy is focused solely on the development of knowledge and competencies aimed at affecting positive changes at personal and organizational level," says SLIM President Tilan Wijeyesekera. "Hence, we are committed to develop high quality programmes, with the assistance of our reputed trainers who possess unmatched industry expertise and domain knowledge".

The SLIM Training and Consultancy Unit works closely with organizations to fill knowledge gaps within their workplaces.

"Having been in operation for several decades, we have gained sufficient experience to go beyond conventional training methods to uplift employees marketing skills," says SLIM CEO Sanath Senanayake.

Senior executives of companies where SLIM programmes have been held expressed satisfaction on their outcome.

"The best training experience ever" is how DIMO Manager, Learning and Development, Naveen Ranasinghe described a Corporate Marketing Planning workshop planned by SLIM for the DIMO staff . The Colombo Fort Hotels Sales Manager, Sandy Wanniarachchi commented that through expert presentations and interactive discussions the trainees gained an insight into successful approaches to branding, product development, PR and marketing campaigns.

Referring to a SLIM customised programme on 'Essence of Branding' program, Tharindu Mihiraka, Asst.

Manager, Marketing and Advertising, CEAT Kelani International Tyres (Pvt) Ltd said that it had been developed in a manner to enable future brand managers to understand their potential and plan their approaches accordingly.

Sadath Rajapaksha, HR Coordinator, Serendib Leisure Management Limited said that the training offered by SLIM on sales and marketing disciplines, bring in adequate insight to the trainees, where they could apply the knowledge obtained in real time scenarios.
