Antonians struggling at 67 for 7 wickets

St Anthony's College, Kandy were struggling with 67 for 7 at the end of day one with their top order batsmen back in the Pavilion in their inter-school under 19 cricket match against Moratu Vidyalaya, played at Moratuwa.

Vidyalians taking the strike first were all out for 180 runs with Ushen Fernando 32, Pathum de Silva 31 and Lahiru Weerawardene 29. Kavinda Udahapola had a good spell with 5 for 48 while Sachin Bulathsinghala too claimed 3 for 38. When the stumps were drawn on day one Harsha Ebert was unbeaten on 20 runs with Shanaka Perera and Pathum de Silva claiming two wickets each for vidyalians.

Moratu Vidyalaya - 180 (Lahiru Weerawardene 29, Ushen Fernando 32, Pathum de Silva 31, Sachin Bulathsinghala 3/38, Kavinda Udahapola 5/48).
