Major honours for Annites

St. Anne's College, Kurunegala scored a first innings win over St.
Thoma's College, Matale in their schools under 19 cricket tournament
match concluded at Matale on Monday.
Though the Annites won first innings points, the Matale Thomians took
the glory away by some very impressive individual performances.
First it was 16-year-old leg spinner Pandula Udupihilla who bowled
with venom and accuracy to return the figures of 7 for 60.
The Matale Thomian forced to follow on 117 runs behind, batted with
vengeance to post a massive total of 428 for 6 in their second innings.
Shashika Tillakasiri scored an unbeaten 164 with 21 fours and 2 sixes.
He was associated in a third wicket stand of 124 with Chathura Dilshan
who made 56.
St. Anne's College 229 all out in 51 overs (Vikum Dharshana 46,
Dilanka Masakkara 32, Malshan Perera 29, Pandula Udupihilla 7 for 60,
Dilan Silva 3 for 61).
St. Thoma's College 112 all out in 26 overs (Ishara Kumarasiri 27,
Mohamed Afsal 4 for 31, Gayan Kumarasiri 3 for 22) and 428 for 6 in 87
overs (Shashika Tillakasiri 164 not out, Dilshan Hendeniya 61, Chathura
Dilshan 56, Devinda Kumarasingha 54, Samadhi Rajapakse 45, Gayan
Kumarasiri 2 for 114, Gihan Cooray 2 for 52, Chathuranga Perera 2 for
14).
