Singer launches BEKO, GRUNDIG products

Singer Sri Lanka burnished its reputation for trusted excellence by announcing the launch of the BEKO and GRUNDIG product ranges in Sri Lanka. Featuring a full range of household appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, cookers, and front-loading washing machines, the BEKO product line-up will be available at all Singer Mega and selected Singer Plus and Sisil World outlets in Sri Lanka.

GRUNDIG will be offering LED TVs and a range of technologically advanced household appliances to Sri Lankan consumers.

Gavin Walker CEO, Singer Asia, Alexander Okyay, Turkish Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Cemal Can Dincer, BEKO and Europe, Asoka Pieris, CEO, Singer Group, Seyhan Ceyhan and GRUNDIG Nasser Majeed, with officials of Singer and GRUNDIG/BEKO at the launch.

Both the BEKO and GRUNDIG brands are backed by the strength of the Argelik Group, one of the global leaders in the production, marketing, and after-sales servicing of household appliances.

The exclusive partnership between the Argelik Group and Singer is one built on their shared commitment to the most advanced, consumer-friendly products.

Speaking at the launch, Asoka Pieris, CEO of the Singer Group of Companies in Sri Lanka, emphasized the benefits that customers would enjoy because of the new partnership. He stated that “the Singer Group is very happy to partner with the Argelik Group in launching the BEKO and GRUNDIG brands in Sri Lanka.”

Pieris noted that “European brands and quality standards are highly appreciated by Sri Lankan consumers, who will be enriched by the quality and advanced features offered by the BEKO and GRUNDIG brands.”

He affirmed the strength of the partnership between Singer and the Argelik Group, pointing out that “Singer is the No. 1 retailer of consumer durables in Sri Lanka, making it a fitting partner for the Argelik Group and its products.”

The BEKO range includes the world's most energy-efficient washing machine, which consumes 50 percent less power than A-energy-class appliances, as well as the world's most energy-efficient multifunction oven, which consumes 30 percent less energy than any competitor product in its segment.

Combining breathtaking design and functionality, BEKO Excellent Clean ovens feature the first liquid-repellent coating ever to be used in household ovens. Inspired by the possibility of enriching user experiences, the BEKO VarioStore larder was designed to transform into a freezer at the touch of a button.

Can Dincer, the Sales Director of BEKO for Sales in America, Asia, and Europe, expressed his excitement about the Group's entry into Sri Lanka.

In his comments, he stated that: “all around the world, BEKO products reach beyond the expectations of different consumers. BEKO offers smart technologies generated through our own R&D and high capacity production plants.
