First innings win for Holy Cross

Holy Cross College, Kalutara gained a first innings win of 74 runs against Moratu Vidyalaya in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Kalutara.

Resuming at 51 for 1 in reply to the Holy Cross Score of 276 Vidyalians were all out for 202 runs with Ushan Tharuka making the top score of 53 runs with six fours while vice captain Harsha Devinda and Lahiru Chamara contributing 37 runs each. Sajith Fernando, Thareen Kameesh and Praveen Jayawickrama claimed three wickets each for the homesters.

When the stumps were drawn on day two Holy Cross were 106 for 5 with Thareen Kameesh scoring 25 runs, Harsha Devinda bagged 3 for 52 for vidyalians.
