Gunnery items, ammunition recovered

The Navy recovered a haul of gunnery items and ammunition from the Eastern Province. Naval troops attached to the Naval Deployment Kinniya of the Eastern Naval Command recovered the gunnery items in the Urappu area.

They raid was conducted on information from the public, Sri Lanka Navy sources said. They said 37 CTG 40 mm HEDP grenades 401 b, nine CTG 40 mm HE grenades 405 A, five 81 mm mortar illuminating paras, twelve 60 mm mortar illuminating paras, 60 mm mortar HE and two AP mines were recovered.
