Six year imprisonment for suspect

A suspect found guilty in an attempted murder case was sentenced to six years imprisonment and fined Rs 25,000. In default, he was sentenced to a further two years imprisonment by Kegalle Provincial High Court Judge Menaka Wijesundera.

Raveendra Fernando alias Batta of Kegalle, was indicted with having caused injury to Nandika Nayana Kantha Gamage at Golahela in Kegalle on March 12, 2007 by shooting him. Gamage is a member of the Kegalle Pradeshiya Sabha.
