Vehicle theft: six arrested

The Mirihana Special Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the
theft of vehicles from several places in the country.
The Police arrested six and following information provided them, took
into custody seven vans and eight motorcycles they stole.
The Police also found a hand grenade in their possession.
The suspects are residents of Panadura, Galle, Bandaragama and Kandy.
The theft of vehicles came to light when the Police arrested a man at
Pitakotte, Baddagana for the theft of a van.
The suspects will be produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate’s
