Two nabbed with tobacco haul

The Sri Lanka Navy arrested two persons attempting to smuggle tobacco
in the Northern seas on Wednesday.
A Navy Media Unit spokesman said the raid was carried out by a Naval
petrol craft attached to the Northern Naval Command in the seas off
Kankesanthurai.
Naval personnel nabbed the two men with 123.4 kilograms of tobacco.
The two men and the tobacco were handed over to Kayts Police for
further investigations. |
