Move to expel UNP MPs:

Court calls for written submissions

Colombo district judge Amal Ranaraja fixed June 13 for written submissions in respect of the action filed by two UNP Parliamentarians Manusha Nanayakkara and Upeksha Swarnamali against holding a disciplinary inquiry due to their voting for the 18th amendment of the constitution.

The respondents cited are Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake.

Earlier, court granted an interim injunction preventing their expulsion from the UNP.
