President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday said that officials should take
utmost care on the entire school examination process since this is an
issue that is extremely sensitive to the public.
The President said that officials should make sure no lapses occur on
their part during the entire examinations process and the highest degree
of confidentiality needs to be maintained at all levels.
He said the Opposition whose sole motive is to grab power at any
cost, does not think of the country nor the younger generation . “They
start propagating lies against the government when such lapses occur,”
he said.

lies against the government as they know that they are not in a position
to come into power. The ministry officials were told to ensure that no
lapses would occur during the examination process as the Opposition is
looking out for these lapses to attribute them to the government and the
Minister.
“We should leave no room for the Opposition to make use of these
lapses.
The examinations results should be issued in time and highest degree
of confidentiality should be maintained throughout the examination
process”, the President added.
The President told officials that the entire examination process
including the holding of examinations, evaluation and issuance of
results should bear the highest level of responsibility and
confidentiality.
He told officials that every household in the country is concerned on
matters related to the examinations and that they should take utmost
care in handling them.
