Chinese Jilin dance troupe to perform here
The Chinese Jilin dance troupe is visiting Sri Lanka to mark the
Chinese new year celebrations and enhance cultural relations between
China and Sri Lanka. It will stage special performances at the Nelum
Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre on February 18 and 19 at 6 p.m to
packed audiences. Cultural. Culture and the Arts Minister T.B. Ekanayake
and Chinese Ambassador Wu Jianghao will grace the occasion as the chief
gusts.

A press release by the culture and the Arts Ministry said the Chinese
troupe will stage a special performance at the Anuradhapura Hrischandra
park open air treater for the benefit of the people in Raja Ratna. NCP
Chief Minister S.M. Ranjith Samarakoon and Anuradhapura Mayor H.P.
Somadasa will be the chief guests.
The Chinese Jilin troupe's Sr Lanka tour has been organized by the
Ministry's Foreign cultural relations unit under the sponsorship of the
Chinese Embassy.

celebrate the ending of the year of the Cobra. This is Considered the
largest annual migration on Earth. The Chinese take a week's holiday to
