Sri Lanka Day at Suraj Kundh Mela
The organizers of the Suraj Kundh International Mela has named today
as 'Sri Lanka Day'. The annual Suraj Kundh International Craft Mela
organized by the Haryana State government in India commenced on February
1 and it will end on February to15.
A Sri Lankan contingent of 30 artists participate in the Suraj Kundh
International Mela. The group comprised 15 handicraft men from the
National Crafts Council and a troupe of 12 dancers from the National
Youth Council.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India Prasad Kariyawasam, National
Crafts Council chairman Buddhi Keerthisena and high officials of the
Haryana government and officials of the Suraj Kundh Mela authority will
participate in the event. Handicraftsmen from all over India, from SAARC
countries and worldwide participate at the Suraj Kundh International
Mela. |
