SLASSCOM hosts seminar

As a service to the local business community, Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies’s (SLASSCOM) Legal Centre of Excellence is hosting an introduction to international anti-corruption compliance specifically tailored to the concerns of local firms exporting or looking to export to the International Market will be held on February 20, 2013, 5:30 p.m. onwards at Dialog Auditorium, Excel World Entertainment Park, T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The FCPA and the Bribery Act reach far beyond US and UK borders. Many of the largest FCPA fines have been imposed on companies located outside the United States. In addition, multinational companies with business partners located in certain regions are protecting themselves by investigating existing and potential business relationships.

Local companies looking to grow internationally need to be aware of these critical international compliance standards and assess how they should best respond.
