More buses for Independence Day

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) will deploy additional buses for those travelling to attend the 65th Independence Day celebrations in Trincomalee on February 4.

According to SLTB Chief Superintendent in Operation H.M.Chandrasiri, around 200 additional buses would be deployed for this purpose.

He said additional bus services will be operated from February 2 onwards from the Central Bus Stand in Pettah and other major towns.

Meanwhile, the special service will be in operation between Trincomalee and 15 main cities in the island. These services operative until February 5.

"This services are in addition to the regular bus services from

the Central Bus Stand (CBS) in Pettah.

He said two trains with extra compartments will operate daily from Colombo Fort to Trincomalee at 6.10 am and 9pm respectively.
