Request to hoist National Flag

The government requested public and state sector institutions to hoist the National Flag on February 3 and 4 to mark the 65th Independence Day on February 4.

All governmental institutions should also illuminate their buildings.

Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry Secretary P B Abeykoon said circulars to this effect have been issued to ministry secretaries, chief secretaries of provincial councils, heads of departments and heads of governmental institutions.
