Meteorites which fell on a paddy field at Aralaganwila recently have
definite traces to establish the theory regarding the existence of
extra-terrestial life, said Prof Chandra Wickramasinghe of the
Buckingham University in UK.
He expressed this view when he visited the paddy field accompanied by
a team of scientists including former NASA director Prof Richard Hoover
on an inspection tour of the site recently.
The team of scientists met farmer H G Tikiribanda of Kudawewa who
witnessed these parts in the paddy field and examined the objects he had
collected.
Prof Wickramasinghe said laboratory tests done on some of these
objects found earlier proved that they had an Algae content peculiar to
outer space. This was the most outstanding finding made in the world
regarding the existence of life beyond Earth.
