Third Abimansala construction begins

Construction of the third Abimansala, the wellness resort for
dependent War Heroes in the North Western Province will commence at
Pangolla in Kurunegala today.
The foundation stone will be laid by Army Commander Lieutenant
General Jagath Jayasuriya.
The project will cost about Rs 360 million. It will be completed
within a short period of time with all facilities for War Heroes,
including a swimming pool, gymnasium, physiotherapy unit, medical wing,
medical laboratory, Ayurveda centre, library, indoor stadium,
entertainment hall and auditorium. The first Abimansala was constructed
in Anuradhapura while the second at Kamburupitiya in Matara. The Army
will construct the wellness resorts in all the districts.
