Cyclists minus tail lights beware
The Police will take action against cyclists
riding push bicycles without a tail light in the night. The Police
Public Relations Media Unit said most fatal accidents that occurred
during the recent past were as a result of push bicycles without
tail lights being knocked down by other vehicles.

Chinese arrested with 14 tortoises
Narahenpita Police arrested a Chinese expatriate
with 14 tortoises in his possession at a restaurant in Narahenpita.
The suspect, the owner of the restaurant, had kept the tortoises in
a storeroom adjoining the kitchen.
