First innings win for Vazians

Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa gained a first innings win over St Aloysius College, Galle in their inter-school Under-19 cricket match worked off at Nattandiya.

Resuming at 12 for 1 on day two visitors were bowled out for 125 runs with Rashmika Dananjaya making the top score of 32 runs. Tharindu Rathnayake who scored 80 runs for the homesters in their first essay took 3 for 18 while Kasun Vidura too claimed 3 for 13. When stumps were drawn Vazians were 58 for 4 in their second innings.
