Golu Hadawatha for film industry’s anniversary

Dr Lester James Peries’ renowned cinematic creation Golu Hadawatha will be screened to celebrate the 66th anniversary of Sri Lankan cinema. The date also marks the 41st anniversary of the National Film Corporation (NFC).

A host of programmes have been lined up to celebrate the occasion. Artistes, crew and all those who are a part of the industry are invited to take part in the event. The celebrations will begin at the NFC film hall on January 21 at 2 pm. Golu Hadawatha will be screened at 5 pm.

The events have been lined up to felicitate Dr Peries who had done yeoman service to take Sri Lankan cinema to the world.
