Indian real estate company to open branch in Jaffna

Indian real estate company, Jemi Construction based in Tamil Nadu is
looking to set a branch office in Jaffna.

said that this company is also involved in designing and constructing
low cost houses. “We are in to building low cost two to three bed roomed
houses powered by solar power and they see opportunities in the North
east,” he said.
Rajan who led a 13 member delegation for the Jaffna International
Trade Fair said that the exhibition would give them a good opening to
find partners mainly to promote their exports.
“We are also looking at importing spices to Tamil Nadu,” he added.
Rajan, CEO of Rajan EXIM, said that he also has a branch office in
Colombo and would open another in Jafffna soon.
He said that they were invited for the event by Yalpanam Chamber of
Commerce and the delegation was happy with the out come of the event.
K. Poornachandan, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Yalpanam said, the event is considered as the best gathering point for
business leaders, consumers, industry holders and entrepreneurs and
therefore this year’s exhibition will draw in an unprecedented crowd.
“It has really helped the SME sector to acquire new technology,” he
added.
He said that this in turn would help in value addition, for ‘made in
Jaffna products’ and help gain foreign exchange. |
