Peliyagoda will be made the focal entry and exist point for all
highways with a railway flyway this year, said Construction, Housing,
Engineering Services and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa.
He was addressing building material traders, professionals and others
in the construction industry in connection to inviting prospective
buyers to the newest landmark in the emerging commercial capital -
Peliyagda, the 'C - City' where all building material and accessories
are to be made available.
The complex is being constructed and is slated to function under the
aegis of the State Engineering Corporation.
About 261 stalls with different products will be showcased in the two
storey condominium making another pledge of Mahinda Chinthanaya a
reality.
Besides ample storage facilities, transportation facilities for
purchased items are to be made available under one roof. In allocating
stalls, local building material producers are to be given priority.
Storage and parking facilities together with banking facilities adds to
the plethora of facilities making this a ground breaking venture which
lives up to international standards.
With a view to encourage prospective investors, payments to stalls
could be effected in installments, with a 30 percent advance on signing
the agreement.
State Engineering Corporation Chairman Jagath Perera said services
and material from the planning stage to the completion of a building
will be available at the complex. |
