EDEX EXPO begins at BMICH today

A pioneer in the provision of National Higher Education and Careers exposition, EDEX EXPO 2013, will commence from today at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) and conclude on Sunday. The Kandy edition will be held from January 25 to 26 at the Kandy City Centre, Kandy. The expo is being held for the tenth consecutive year.

From its inception in 2004, this event has turned out to be Sri Lanka's largest education platform offering a multitude of choices, options and opportunities for senior students, school leavers, unemployed and underemployed persons, parents and anyone who is interested in seeking potential higher education within the country or abroad.

The Expo's goal is to highlight the significance of supporting young and aspiring young people in recognizing and fulfilling their aims for a well rewarding career path.

About 250 universities from 21 countries will be exhibiting more than 300 stalls at the Expo which include reputed universities from Europe, North America, Russia, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and the SAARC countries.

The Presidential Secretariat, Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Youth Affairs and Skills Development, Environment and Labour and Labour Relations have endorsed the Expo.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) are the strategic partners this year.

The print media partner for this event once again is the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited.
