ISMM convocation

The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM) will hold its 21st convocation on January 19 at the BMICH Committee Room “B” from 5.00 pm onwards, for the conferment of Diplomas. Transport Minister Kumara Welgama will be the Chief Guest.

The Institute celebrated its 40th anniversary on October 24 2012. It is the only recognized professional institute that conducts education and training programs on Supply Chain Management in Sri Lanka since 1982.

A member of the Organization of Professional Association of Sri Lanka since in 1976 was incorporated by an Act of Parliament (No. 3 of 1981) and is a affiliated to the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management based in the UK, which is the world body encompassing 43 national associations having more than 200,000 professionals engaged in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.

ISMM is also affiliated to the International Trade Centre (ITC) which is the technical co-operation agency of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) for operational, enterprise oriented aspects of trade development.
