The event will be held on Friday (January 11) from 6 pm to 10 pm at
the Rooftop Amphitheatre of Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
Dandiya dance is a beautiful and colorful dance, which represents the
tradition and culture of society. It is performed by a group of dancers,
who move in circles to measure steps, making time by sticks called ‘Dandiya.’
Rajesh Jain, a popular Dandiya dancer from India, will be hosting this 'Dandiya'
night. He and four of his dancers will be coming to make sure that each
and every one of the audience, participate for the Dandiya dance. Since
his dancing steps are so easy to be followed and interesting, everyone
will be compelled to dance with him.
Farhath’s Mehendi is another important feature to make this event
special. The audience will experience the magical Mehendi designs and
dance to the beat of Dandiya music. Each of Farhath’s design represents
the traditional art as well as the modern art.
The dark and natural stains of her special Mehendi cones are really
magical. So this show will include extremely varied and exciting
programmes like
* Local and overseas dancers performing Dandiya
* Farhath’s Mehendi art designs
* Raffle draw event
* American auction
This night will bring out joyous moments for the audience as they
will not only be dancing with Rajesh and his dancers but also have the
Farhath’s Mehendi on their palms. To end the night mouthwatering, North
Indian dishes will be served.
