Slimline clinch fencing nationals
Slimline Fencing Club bagged the overall team championship at the
inaugural fencing nationals which was organized by the National
Association of Fencing Sri Lanka and worked off at the Unichela Fencing
Club in Panadura.

Slimline Fencing Club dominated the men's individual championship
while winning gold and silver medals in the foil event through Pradeep
Dunukiyanga and Dilan Iresh respectively.
In fact Pradeep Dunukiyanga was later selected as the Best Fencer for
his outstanding performance throughout the tournament which had
attracted over 50 competitors.Meanwhile Unichela PL Fencing Club emerged
runners up in the overall team championship where they were able to win
the gold medal in the Sabre event and the silver in the epee event
respectively. |
