Matugama PS budget passed

The Matugama Pradeshiya Sabha budget for 2013 was passed with a majority of four votes at a special meeting recently.

Seven members were absent. UPFA member Sriyanada Wickremathanthri voted against the budget. UNP member Hinton Maddege refrained from voting.

Matugama Pradeshiya Sabha chairman L G Liyanaarachchi presiding said: “We have allocated nearly Rs 1.5 million rupees for social welfare activities. We hope to launch major road development projects in the area.”
