New market complex for Addalaichenai

Eastern Provincial Council Member A.L.M. Naseer laid the foundation stone for a new market complex in Addalaichenai recently.

The market complex worth Rs. 134 million will be funded by the Economic Development Ministry under the Pura Negume programme. It is jointly implemented by the Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha and Office of the Regional Assistant Commissioner of Local Government, Ampara.

The foundation laying ceremony was presided over by M.A. Anzil, Chairman of the Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha. A.L.M. Naseer was the chief guest and A.J.M. Irzad, Regional Assistant Commissioner of Local Government, Ampara and members of the Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha participated.

Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils A.L.M. Athaullah laid the foundation stone for the new public park in Akkaraipattu recently. The park costing Rs. 134 million will be funded by the Economic Development Ministry under the Pura Neguma project.
