Japan provides relief items to flood victims
The Japanese government will donate emergency assistance worth 23
million Japanese Yen (approximately Rs. 32 million) to the Sri Lankan
government for immediate distribution among people affected by the
recent floods and landslides.
The assistance includes tents, plastic sheets and sleeping pads for
those affected by floods and landslides.
The assistance is being provided in line with the needs of those
affected and as requested by the Sri Lankan government. The relief items
will be distributed through the Japan International Cooperation Agency,
a release said yesterday. |
