Car crashes against police jeep

A motor car crashed against a jeep belonging to the Galewela Police injuring three police officials in front of the Galewela police station.

The injured were rushed to the Galawela government hospital and two of them who were in a critical condition were transferred to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.

The police said that when the jeep came out of the police station premises, a car speeding from the Dambualla direction crashed against it. The driver of the car had been under the influence of liquor. He was remanded on being produced before the Dambulla Magistrate's Court.
