With the hope of providing smoother customer care to its most faithful customers, the leading publisher and bookseller in the island, M D Gunasena launched its latest consumer-incentive service-feature, as they introduced a Loyalty Member programme for the first time ever in local book industry.

The service is meant to strengthen customer relationship ties by rewarding their most faithful customers with exclusive incentives. With the innovative incentives that come with Loyalty Member Programme, the group expects to feed their regular visitors with superior customer care.

The latest innovation allows customers to walk in to any M D Gunasena retail outlet and enjoy customized membership privileges which include deliverance of purchases, seasonal members' only promotions, exclusive invites to company events, latest news and updates about new products and other services.

"The introduction of the Loyalty Member programme will further enhance the company's services. May it be books or stationary, the service will monitor and take in to account consumer insight and purchase preferences which would enable us to provide our customers with tailor-made material", M D Gunasena Deputy Managing Director Rajiv Gunasena noted.

M D Gunasena customers can now earn as they shop, collect and redeem their points on their favourite books, stationery, toys and music that are sold in all M D Gunasena outlets. "The Loyalty Membership opens gateway to an ultimate shopping experience where we appreciate your loyalty and offer incentives to every time you shop," he further explained.

M D Gunasena since its inception in 1913 has become the most prestigious publisher in Sri Lanka with 17 outlets island-wide. For more than a century, the company remains at the forefront of the publishing industry and literature in Sri lanka.

The maiden loyalty card was handed over to Sandamali Aviruppola - Principal of Visaka Vidyalaya Colmobo by Rajiv Gunasena at a ceremony held at their Colombo 05 outlet. The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of M D Gunasena Chairman Percy Gunasena, M D Gunasena Managing Director Ananda Gunasena and other distinguished guests.
