O/L paper leak - not again, minister promises
The Examinations Department admitting that 19
multiple choice questions in the O/L Science “Part – I” paper were
leaked, agreed to offer 19 marks to all students who sat for the O/L
examination 2012, irrespective of their medium of instruction,
Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena said during a media briefing
yesterday.

Help reduce accidents, Police tells public
The Police yesterday requested the public to be
cautious during the festive season to minimise accidents. Police
Spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said most fatal accidents occur
during the festive season, due to the influence of liquor. He said
if the public was cautious, the accidents could be minimised.

Mobile service project successful
The Rattota Police and the Civil Defence
Committee of Rattota jointly organized a mobile service of the
police at the Palle Hapuvida school recently according to the
'People-friendly' police service concept. The project had been
organized under the instructions of Sajeewa Madawatta, Matale SSP.
