Help reduce accidents, Police tells public

The Police yesterday requested the public to be cautious during the festive season to minimise accidents. Police Spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said most fatal accidents occur during the festive season, due to the influence of liquor. He said if the public was cautious, the accidents could be minimised.

SSP Jayakody said most traffic accidents occur due to driving under the influence of liquor. He said driving under the liquor was an offence.
