CP athletes who excelled in National Games rewarded

Central Province Athletes who won, Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals at the recently concluded 38th National Games held in Colombo were rewarded recently.

Gold Medal winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 10,000 while the Silver Medalists were awarded Rs 7,500 and the Bronze Medalists Rs 5,000.

The function was held on the 20th, December 2012 at the Dharmaraja College, Auditorium under the Patronage of Central Provincial Council Health Minister, Sunil Amaratunge. Central Province, Director of Sports, Y M Y Yapa Bandara and Secretary for the Ministry of Sports C P Upali Alahakoon was present at this occasion.

A sum of Rs 1.8 Million was allocated by the Ministry of Sports, Central Provincial Council for this purpose. Provincial Council Members, T S Swarnatilake and Manel Bandara were also present on this occasion.
